there comes a point where i stop caring about myself. human desires are a pointless pursuit because i'm no longer equipped to attain them. i'm a hideous monster with a head of fried straw. nobody is going to choose a beast like me when the applicant pool is filled with attractive normal men with healthy genes.
it's upsetting to know that i'll never have a partner or experience human touch again. it's instinctual for humans to want that. what can possibly keep you going when you have hair loss in your 20s, and knowing you have another 50-60 years of being alone? do you just have to dedicate yourself to other people's happiness and try to make the external world a better place? is it possible to let go of a desire that's never been satisfied? human contact is not like water and oxygen...
