How do I even get dutasteride?

My hair loss is probably bad enough that I should consider switching from finasteride to dutasteride, but I'm not even sure how to get it. How can I possibly get a prescription for it?

I have it prescribed from my doctor. My insurance doesn't cover finasteride and I told my doctor I was taking dutas anyway from overseas so she put it through, my insurance covers Dutasteride . I got lucky I guess.

No one is going to reply to this. Almost no one here has ever used dutasteride, but for some reason it is regarded as "better" than finasteride, yet never recommended.

Here are a few things I gathered about dutasteride from lurking these forums for almost 2 years.

1. Dutasteride will cause a crippling shed they may never recover.
2. There is no known way to cycle from finasteride to dutasteride, simply replacing your 1 finasteride pill a day with 1 dutasteride pill will cause horrible consequences.
3. Dutasteride alters something in your brain and nearly everyone has advised that you will feel these effects at some point.

1. anecdotal evidence says finasteride does the same for some.
2. yes there is, add it once, a week, then twice a week until you're on 7/7 and slowly take away the finasteride.
3. what?? really? i know dutasteride messes with 5ar1 but i never heard significant side effects from dutasteride that didnt happen on finasteride?

Sides vary for each person. Personally i have no sides while on Dutasteride. (Over a year of use)
