How do I delete duplicate posts?

I have been directed to do so. I inadvertently posted the same question twice

I might be wrong - but I don't think you can delete a posting.

If you go to your message - there's an EDIT button in the top right corner of your message box - but when you click it - it brings you back to the original text of your message for editing purposes - but not for deleting purposes (I think).

not true. you can delete any post as long as no one has replied to it yet. after that, you can only delete the contents and title but not the post.
