How Do I Approach My Friend And Ask Him If He Uses finasteride?

Hi all,

I have a friend (not a close friend) who has a strong receding hairline.
I really want to ask him if he uses finasteride and his experience with it but i'm not sure how to approach him with this question.
He isn't close enough to ask straight out and i don't want to offend him by asking him about his hairline.
Is there any way i can ask him without offending him?

Personally I wouldn't. However If you're really hellbent on doing so, maybe bring up hair loss in a conversation then start to talk about your own/finasteride use.

I start by telling them I take it. And only people I know we'll.


Still, out of maybe 10 guys over the years nobody I mentioned it to has started taking it to my knowledge.

Well if you're ok with bringing up your hairloss just say you've been reading about some pill that halts it and that you really wanna try it but you've been reading conflicting reports about its safety.

I mean if he doesn't bring it up at that point chances are it's not something he wants to share with anyone. Or he just simply does not take it.

Why do you need to know if he takes finasteride though?

Two of my best friends both have hair that is worse than mine. One of them started shaving his head completely when he was 21. None of us talk about it with one another, we're fine in our denial, if we do it involves being intoxicated and slipping in the odd joke...even then the jokes are designed to hurt lol. My advice is don't approach it, it's why we have the community here!!
