how common is shock loss?

It is 3 months minus 6 days from my hair transplant, and the donor area where the most grafts went in looks about as bad as it has.

This site is a comfort, I would not know what is going on, and I would think 'those hairs transplanted won't be able to fill that area in."

Now I can look forward to not only my grafts coming in, but my shocked hair coming back. :D

In the post above I meant to say recipient area.

Does the shocked hair start growing fine? My bald patches have filled in pretty nicely, but there is definitely a patch which is still obvious. Now, that area was lacking hairs to begin with, I should have asked the doctor to throw some hairs in there.

But it looks like the hair regrowing in the area is thin. Is that typical with shocked hair coming back?
