How come topical Nizoral cream never became a thing?

According to this study the results were impressive af. Did people ever really try this 8 years ago? It baffles me mainly because the consensus is NOT that ketoconazole is a worthless ingredient. Quite the contrary, even in 2016 it's still in lots of people's regimen in the form of Nizoral/Revita/Regenepure. Then why hasn't the cream broken through?

I would like to see the effectiveness confirmed in an robust independent trial.

There are "studies" proving the effectiveness of nizoral ... as there are for rice bran extract and pumpkin seed oil.

Well ketoconazole is no dud, its proven antifungal and antiandrogen used in clinical treatments with rather solid studies to back up its properties.
Why studies on hairloss are limited? Looks like its to weak to work on its own, so no company will push money to achieve results worse than minoxidil or finasteride...
Using keto cream on hairline is easy, so as a part of regime its should be IMO mandatory for any guy who dont take finasteride.

I don't know why Keto is not widely used as a cream but some people use Miconazole, you may want to look into that.
