Side effects are basically the same, just a bit higher of a chance you'll get them. Also, dutasteride stays in the body longer than finasteride, so it might take a bit longer to recover from potential sides.

The best way to get a Doctor to give you a script for dutasteride is to just talk to them about it and why you want it. I'd also print this off and give it to him/her

I remember ordering dutas a few years back. Yes, I was that desperate. While I was waiting for it to come in I did alot of research and digging on the side effects and reviews of Dutas. What I found scared me out of my mind. I got the package a few weeks later and never touched the stuff except after a few years later when it expired(I threw it out).

If you do enough research you'll see people on hair loss forums describing their experience (like destroyed frontal hair lines plus more potent/dangerous side effects) on this stuff. Do your own due diligence before making the decision to use this stuff. This drug is not yet FDA Approved for hair loss.
