I had intended it to use it at night and the morning along with minoxidil, but a friend of mine said it stinks like sh*t, is this true?

The cream doesnt smell at all, but you can only basically use it on the hairline and temple areas. You could use the cream in the AM and the liquid at night, that way you could shampoo in the morning and nobody would really smell it. I have noticed that after a period of about a month using the liquid, that I no longer smell it that much. I dont know if I have grown accustomed to it, or what.

spironolactone smells. I agree with Bomb that it does not smell BAD, nor is it overwhelming at all provided you are not using tons of it. I only use it at night, but used to always be aware of it, it was kind of like wearing the same cologne to bed, every night. Not a bad smell, not a strong smell, but I could tell. The last batch I ordered from Dr Lee seems to smell significantly less, and no it is not just me 'getting used to it'. I know he has been working on reducing the smell, maybe this is the case.

BUT... spironolactone, when combined with minoxidil, and in a hot environment, can just plain reek. I use spironolactone with minoxidil, and although I predominantly use it in the evenings I also dab up my temples and hairline in the mornings. The spironolactone and minoxidil are okay... but once you add heat, like going outside for a vigorous walk on a hot day, the spironolactone/minoxidil combo starts to take on a completely different odor.

This being noted, I only use the spironolactone and minoxidil at night, when it is cool. If I do use it during the day, I apply in the morning and avoid any strenuous activity until it is completely dry. Not a problem sitting in my office at work. But, I do use only a very modest amount in the mornings.

Hope this helps.
