It is definitely not too late. I would start on Minoxidil and Finasteride ASAP though as your scalp still has follicles on it and is not totally bare. Once it goes bare it is much harder to grow back.

So what should he do now bro?? I am 20 years old .On dutasteride. Not using minoxidil it caused falkes all over my scalp .I am also having mesotherapy.I meso doesn't work will continue on duta till rest of my hair falls

Seven years is the conventional wisdom on how long a follicle can be dormant before it doesn't want to grow back. I'm 48 with a pretty full head of hair and started losing in my late 20's so it's possible to keep it. I used to only take finasteride but it stopped working for me so I had to switch things up. I use Lipogain sensitive 5% twice a day, lllt 3 times a week, Viviscal twice a day and Big Five ketoconazole shampoo, costs maybe eighty bucks a month but money well spent.

Don' listen to negative posts. You have a good chance to keep your hair. As you're young it is difficult to face this of course but all of us on this forum have had to enter this battle sooner or later. Research the most economical sources you can find for minoxidil and finasteride. That way it will at least make it affordable for you. Not sure where you're based but I can source finasteride and min for about €90 for six months' supply of both. You can even get finasteride cheaper than that if you get 5mg tablets and cut them. Then it's a decision whether you want to go full on or stagger your approach.

It's well-documented that the big three work for many people. You may even see results from finasteride alone if you're a good responder. Assuming you don't get side effects, you should really get on finasteride and stay on it asap as that could keep most of what you have and you may even regrow. Plus it's relatively hassle-free, just pop a pill every day. Give that six months to a year and see how it goes. If you feel you haven't regrown you could then add minoxidil. Some users only use it once a day and have seen results. Also get some good shampoo (alongside or instead of Nizoral) which will keep scalp clean of DHT which causes your hairloss. There are other shampoos which either have natural ingredients which combat DHT or have 1% Ketoconazole which is gentler than Nizoral (2%).

Hi Merica,
Good to hear you've kept your hair. A few questions on your regimen: the Lipogain is minoxidil yeah? What is Illt? The Viviscal - is that supplements? I know they do a number of products. Thx.

Edit: it's laser therapy isn't it?

I tried dutasteride, couldn't take it, I had horrible sides some I'm still dealing with. So I came across the Viviscal by watching a Dateline NBC show called the follicle five, it's still on YouTube. It worked to stop a guys hairloss and it's been around a long time. Has a couple studies backing it and a ton of anecdotal evidence. The Lipogain is like minoxidil on steroids, lasers are FDA approved and actually do work, don't piss with the brush tho actually get a helmet device with several lasers. I would upload a couple pics but can't seem to get my Samsung to post em. I actually do have a full head it's possible you just have to stay dedicated to the cause. I'll keep trying to post a couple pics.
