Well no matter what you do go to your chemist and pick up Nizoral 2% and use to every 3 days.

I recommend using finasteride , depends on what age you are though. Don't use rogaine in my opinion. You are stuck with this stuff for life if you start it now. Wait until it is worse.

I'd recommend finasteride (depending on your age of course) and nizoral for now. You caught it fairly early so you'd want to start now before you lose anymore hair. After a year or so you can add minoxidil if you want to add some more hair.

I know it's the last thing you want to hear, but you are definitely diffusing. It's not that bad yet but it will get there if you don't do anything about it. Most importantly get on Finasteride (Propecia, Proscar, etc...). This is the most effective proven treatment and may help you a great deal. If you want to gauge how well it's working some people decide to hold off on the minoxidil at first to see how the finasteride stands on it's own. Nizoral too, don't forget that.

I'm only 21

On my mom's side there are only 2 men..My cousin seems to be balding already as well and my uncle was bald before he was 30.

I don't know anybody in my father's side.

A lot of us are about 21 dude. It sucks man, but you're actually one of the lucky ones. If you start plain finasteride now, you'll probably be able to maintain most of what you have and even stand to fill it in. I would echo the sentiment that you probably don't need Rogaine yet, but Nizoral couldn't hurt. Don't be ashamed, there are plenty of 21 year olds walking around campus here who probably don't even know they are thinning (me being the psychopath that I am, notices EVERY dudes hair). Start finasteride and be happy that you don't have the uphill battle that most of us do here.
