Supposing HM does come out how effective will it be?

I think options 1 and 2 are essentially the same. It depends. I think one day something like HM might very well be the answer. But at this stage I agree with others that it seems like its just another not so impressive treatment. That might be different in the future but by then I think something better could/should be around or just round the corner.

Maybe. I wouldnt mind having abunch of hair follicles shoved in more or less willynilly if the stuff grew like it "should". But I think HM is going to be overtaken by other methods. In the end having someone pull a few hair follicles out and culture them for a few months before sticking them back in is going to be less elegant than having a Follica typre procedure without the wounding stimulus which was every chance of being perfected before HM even gets out of the starting gate.
