hello, umm I bought some rogaine about a week ago, and applied it to my bald wig (on a regular basis), well i'm 24 and my head looks like my grandpa...omfg..i have no hair on the top, just the side wow.. Ok, so I go to the millitary Doctor, we have 1 in camp speicher where im stationed right now..and I cant get propecia..its too hard to get in iraq. Well, its not hard, but the Doctor wont do it, he says I have other stuff I need to worry about, *sigh*, if i just stick with this regimen of rogaine, do I have any chance, any whatsoever of regaining my youthful appearance as vain as that sounds?
thanks!

I don't think he has a wig, he is in the army. I think he meant he is only on rogaine. Shame you can't get on finasteride dude, you need it. You may now need a topical anti-androgen then if they don't want to prescribe you finasteride.

BTW, I have read stories with okay results with minoxidil-only regimens. So you may be one of the lucky ones.

i'm sick of doctors refusing propecia prescriptions for people who obviously have male pattern baldness, as if they know what's right for you.

your doctor sounds very uninformed - i think most people would agree losing your hair is right up there on the list of things "to worry about".

can you receive mail there? if so i'd order generic finasteride from a reputable online pharmacy. many people on this board do that anyway because its cheaper.
