your crown may well be perfect, mine was at one point!

you should get on the finasteride so ya crown stays perfect.

for me personally yes finasteride has maintained the front.

there is only one rogaine foam and it is rogaine foam 5% http://hairlosstruth.co.uk/page5.htm

nizoral 2% http://www.unitedpharmacies.com/custome ... t=0&page=1

Libertine, the brand Proscar from United is way more expensive than the generic, and the generic(called Fincar) works fine. If he's going to order it online he might as well order generic and save money.

Thisisme:

Order generic Proscar because it will save you money.

Link to one of UP's generic Proscar products here:

There. I just saved you 120 bucks a year.

no way of knowing how long it will maintain or if it even will maintain or if you'll get regrowth. 83% of people maintained their hair at the 2 year mark on finasteride. 66% of people saw regrowth at the 2 year mark. That means that 17% of people in the study had lost hair compared to baseline at the 2 year mark. This does not mean that finasteride wasn't slowing down their hair loss though- it probably was.

If you still see yourself losing hair after 2 years on finasteride, I would look into Avodart(dutasteride). it is more powerful and would likely stem your loss if finasteride can't do it for you.

Rogaine will give you a good shot of regrowing hair at least in your crown area and a bit on top. It won't help as much in the front, usually.

If I were you I wouldn't start both finasteride and Rogaine at once because you won't know which drug is giving you the regrowth. It would suck if rogaine gave you no regrowth and finasteride gave you a ton, and you were stuck using rogaine forever despite it having never done anything for you, you know?

So give finasteride a year then add rogaine if you want to try to get more or any regrowth.

Nizoral is a good shampoo. Use it at least twice a week but not more than 4 times a week and leave it in for at least 4 minutes before rinsing. I use it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays myself. Makes it easier to remember. it stays at therapeutic concentration in your scalp for 72 hours after use so this is a good schedule.

Good luck

thanks jayman, but the reason i wanted to use rogaine aswell as finasteride is not made to help your front which is what i want to improve mostly, so i was going to use rogaine as an extra so i can put it on my front, does nizoral help the front? so do you recommend i just start on nizoral & finasteride?

Also you were talking about how long it keeps your hair for i heard 15 years which is alot more than 2?

finasteride can help your front sometimes as well. i'd give finasteride a year by itself like i said to see if it can at least maintain for you, because if it can't maintain for you, rogaine likely won't do you any good anyway, because rogaine doesn't stop hair loss.

i think the avg person stays above baseline for 14 years on propecia. the avg responder. there are some for whom finasteride's level of 5ar2 inhibiition is not enough, and they drop below baseline by the 2 year mark.
