 Yeah..I think...

Everytime I take shower, brush hair, and do other stuff, I see hair on my shirt, on my fingers and etc. This isnt kool :-x I really dont wanna be bald by the time I reach age 18. You guys are experts so I want you to tell me if Im becoming bald or not. Here are some factors:

- Im growing my hair ( Im a guy btw)
- I generally keep my hair in good condition ( I use conditior and stuff in showers)
- I havent colored/messed with my hair for over 4 or more months
- I dont do any drugs or smoke ( I heard steorids make ur hair fall off)

Yup...so someone tell me. Am I gonna be bald?

if you have male pattern baldness in your genes, none of that matters although it might accelerate your hairloss

At your age (16) your hormones are going so crazy it's impossible to tell. Take some pics or see a doctor, and no matter what anyone on this forum tells you, at 16, the possibilities of what is wrong are varied.

You guys give me alot of hope :)

Thank god. Im not the first 16 year old bald dude

I also heard a saying that if your grandfather is bald, and you dad isnt, you will be bald. Well lucky me, my grandfather IS bald and my dad ISNT so should I be worried?

You'll have to give us a bit more info than that. *Everyone* goes through a phase of shedding hair every now and then. It doesnt automatically mean you are going bald.
Has your hairline changed at all over the last while? Is it a little further back than it once was? Have you noticed the hair on your hairline looking a little thinner than the rest of your head? If you answer 'yes' to any of these questions, then you may be experiencing the early stages of hairloss.

Not at all. I first noticed my hairloss at 18, and more than likely I was thinning at 16. I still have a decent head of hair considering I started treating it so late.

Hey bro! Go see a doctor, at your age you need to.

Relax and try not to over think this.

Best of luck to you!

Actually, baldness can come from either or both sides of the family. Its just an old wives tale that it only comes from your grandparents or better still, only from your mothers father. Its all nonsence. Baldness can be passed down from ANYONE on your family tree.

hey man. I'm sorry to hear about your new situation. Your definetly not the first dude to begin balding at 16. I started a week after I turned 17 and mine was quite aggressive. Actually when you describe your initial signs it's very similar to what I experienced. I had a hunch that I was going bald but was confused how I could bald so young which led to a six month denial phase. Your lucky that you caught it right away while you still have lots of hair. Your not alone and I would advise you to try to do something about it as soon as you can. A definitive diagnosis would probably be best because you don't want to hop on these treatments if you don't have to. Go see the derm and make sure you adamantely explain to him that you feel you are losing hair. Allot of derms dismiss it as normal hair fallout because they aren't expeienced with people this young losing hair. The sooner you treat it, the better. Best of luck and you have any questions feel free to ask me. I know what its like to start balding so young.
