After 10 rough months on finasteride(no sides,though i gained 10kg in 1 year),i feel like finasteride shouldn't be taken if you are sedentary,because i got so fat,i have been skinny throughout my whole life,so its kinda fucked up being fat as an ectomorph. I am 5'5'' and my weight is 74kg. My ideal height should be among 60/68 max.

So,I was shedding like crazy last month,now it's slowly going away,but i was shedding so f*****g much hair,and it started after i upped my dose to 1mg(i was taking 0.5mg for 8 months and in february i started taking 1mg). But now my hair is starting to get better,and feels like its thickening up.

I won't provide photos right now,but as soon as i complete the 1y mark,i will post my progress.

It's good your starting to see progress to many people stop before any progress and end up in a worse place than when they started.

However 10kg in a year is absolutely a side effect unless something else contributed to this, so good to highlight this imo.

Makes my blood boil when young men on here post a picture with a full head of hair and the usual suspects advise them to jump on the big 3 for 'prevention' 'just incase' they develop male pattern baldness. Insanity at its finest and Instant ban if I was admin.

Glad to read that you are finally seeing some results. Finasteride can cause some increase in your adipose tissue from the slightly higher estrogen bu I remember following your original post and people had commented on your weight back then, so personally I wouldn't blame it that much. You can compare pictures if you still have them

It's not bro science to state finasteride lowers DHT / DHT is the primary male sex hormone / women have a considerably lower metabolic rate than men.

Lowering a man's primary male sex hormone will potentially increase weight, amongst many other things including reduced hairfall for SOME male pattern baldness sufferers. For others it does the opposite or nothing at all. It's good to praise finasteride when it does the job it's designed to do - relating to the prostate. Also helps some as a hairloss treatment. But you cant ignore the side effects many men have suffered.

You're very overweight at 74kg at 5'5. I consider myself a fat *** (near obese) being 86kg at 5'11 from bulking a bit too hard.

Yes im overweight,but still far from obese. I started working out 2 days ago,and i will improve my feeding,i'm really disapointed with my body. I think i have gyno,so does my brother tho,and he never took finasteride.

Ye,it even reduced the hair in some parts of my body.

2 years ago i had 60kg/62ish. so i gained around 10/15kg in 2 years

Also, I wouldn't recommend losing 10kg in 2 months, you should aim for maximum 1kg/week (so 8kg in the 2 months), any more means loss of muscle mass.

What if im fat because of hormonal issues? Im afraid finasteride fuckd up my hormones tbh

Maybe he is 74kg of muscle Arnold Schwarzenorwood 7. I'm 92kg 5'11 - don't look obese at all

After how long did you exlacly begin to shedding?
I did use finasteride 1.25mg
For 8 month with no hair result but I did also gain like 6kilo.. But now i trying dutasteride Will see what happen after 3-6month

shedding started at 8/9 months man
