I use 3% minoxidil at night, and twice during the weekends..I recently shaved my head so its kind of hard to use minoxidil in the morning without all the hairs looking gross and stuck together, so i stick to it at night.

Well my hair is now growing back after my last shave(3 weeks)...and its been about a month and a half since i started minoxidil..lately ive been noticing tons of short hairs falling out. I know that i just recently shaved my head, but it grows quick and all the other hairs seem to be longer. Am I experiencing a minoxidil shed? Are these little hairs just shorter cause i shaved my head recently or is the minoxidil kicking those shitty little guys in the *** and they will grow back thicker next cycle?

I seem to be shedding like a lot now....everytime i rub my head a hair falls out...but then when i constantly play with it, as i do, a lot fall out...and in the shower everytime i rub my head theres 2 hairs on each hand...but thats every time...

i had a pretty violent shed at the end of month 1 aswell like i just woke up one mornign looked at my hair and was like holy f*****g sh*t... the hole texture of my hair was different and i looked way more bald

but this to me is normally a good sign because after a shed my hair normally starts to look way better

my advise is to ride it out

im wondering if these little hairs are shitty telogen hairs i never noticed in between the thicker hair and minoxidil is gonna grow them back thicker, or if their just shorter because they grow at different rates and i just recently shaved my head...my hair must grow fast then cause the majority of my hair is already long enough to spike

That's the way I like to look at it Jay.. kicking those little sh*t hairs out to come in better on the next cycles. After 3 and a half months, Ive had good thickening and now starting to get some good new regrowth at the same time I seem to only be shedding the small shitty hairs and very few longer, healthy hairs.

Makes sense to me that the shitty hair wont grow any longer than it has when it's shed, and there's a nice new hair pushing the sh*t out of the way so it can finally be damn respectable hair for once.

I also like to believe that the healthier hair will either also shed from the shock to the system from treatment, or either just thicken and darken up while in telegon growth phase.

Everybody has a different theory on this nad no one seems to have a definite answer. I could be wrong, or I could be right. Since I am an early responder though, it's probablly a good sign for you.
