Guys.. i have been applying minoxidil on the upper region, now i realise that the frontal region starts to thin, and my hairline has gotten worst for the frontal region wat should i do ???? :cry:

You should be using Propecia instead of minoxidil. minoxidil will shed your hair for 3 to 6 months of using it. The hair will grow back thicker. But I would use Propecia instead of minoxidil.

first off half of what AP just said isn't accurate. minoxidil doesn't make you shed for 3-6 months. Where he got that from I have no idea. IF you experience a shed from minoxidil it usually only lasts a few weeks. A lot of people don't shed from starting minoxidil.
Finasteride has been known to induce a shed too.

What we need is more information from you. How long have you been experinecing hairloss.? How long have you been using minoxidil? What type of minoxidil are you using (2% or 5%) How bad is your hair loss?

BHD I agree with you. I think there is a common misconception on this website that propecia is better than minoxidil because propecia attacks the "root" cause of hairloss. Actually, minoxidil has the ability to maintain and regrow hair for a period of up to 5 years, just like propecia, eventhough minoxidil is not attacking the "root" cause of hairloss. So to say that propecia is better at maintaining is a stretch. They are both capable of maintaining and regrowth! Both have been proven to work up to 5 years.

I have been using minoxidil 5% for about 4 mths on the upper region, i haven't really experience much regrowth, but minoxidil cause my hair to become from bad to worst. but recently the the upper region have thicken up a bit though not alot. But i have realise that i have shedding alot this past few weeks, and the hair sheds were thick normal hairs, and i have jus realise yesterady that my frontal region is thining, and the hair line has becomed worst.
