There are so many different remedies out there for male pattern baldness and looking at the regimines of many of the posters, many can be taken at the same time. I have been losing my hair for many years now - around 8cm receding at the front and thinning on top.

What would you guys advise me to get which doesn't involve me going bankrupt but would stand a chance of regrowth?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

If you are as bad as you say then go for the big three.

finasteride (1mg a day)
minoxidil (5% twice a day)
ketoconazole (Nizoral2% 2-3 times a week)

Finast (Generic Proscar) 5mg split into 5 with a pill cutter and take once a day.

kirkland minoxidil use twice a day.

Nizoral Shampoo - 2% (100ml Bottle) Use 2-3 times a week.

These are just some of the versions of drugs and one of the sites you can get them from.

I think you should shop around to find the best price and they will not cost you the earth give them a year before adding more to your regime.

That price sucks. You can order 2% Nizoral from from GlobalDrugs.com (a Canadian pharmacy) for about $12 (USD) for a 120 ml bottle.

It takes a *long* time to effectively compare the prices of many of the drugs discussed in these forums. I see no good reason for anyone to waste countless hours searching the Internet, when this is the perfect medium through which to exchange such information.

you get what you pay for, yes you can buy products for low prices and they have some chance of helping, but it will be minimal

want regrowth? get a hair transplant

want to maintain? start taking avodart

If anything, there is an inverse correlation between price and the effectiveness of treatments for male pattern baldness.

I wasn't aware that transplants grew hair. Is this the result of a new method? Transplants will destroy the possibility of restoring density from growth agents (that may be acceptable for some).

But then he will be unable to *maintain* an erection!
