Right, Question for you all.

Decided i would go onto finasteride October last year so i did. However i was in a car crash and in hosptial for 6weeks so no finasteride!! I notice when commin out of hospital i have two patches that are basically skinhead (i have longish hair) Anyway what do you think i should do, get back on the finasteride and see how it goes, or introduce minoxidil now??

The patches have stubbly bits but they aint growing fast at all???

Any ideas, just dont know what to do?

Just restart finasteride for now. Most likely, you will regain what you lost.

I spent 3 weeks off finasteride (ran out of proscar, took 3 weeks to get my act together)

It was the only time in the 16 months I have been on finasteride that I noticed my hair thin a little (my girlfriend pointed it out to me) especially at the crown, got back on proscar, took about 2-3 months to pick up from where I had left off.

I suggest you get back on finasteride as soon as you can, give it 6 months to 'settle' in (hormonally) and then see if you need minoxidil.

In the meantime blame the bald patches on the crash not male pattern baldness, this will turn a social disadvantage into a social advantage as you tell all the girls in the bar about how your life flashed in front of you as the car went over the cliff.
