This itch, pain, a few spots on my head and a static feeling off my hair and a weird feeling at the hair follicles. Can anybody tell me what this could be??

Oh ye, accelerate loss of hair on crown big time!! Shave my head thats the plan

Regimen to date

Oct 04 started finasteride - Hair thick no pain or itch
Started nizoral and T-Gel 2-3times a week
Added Tricomin Shampoo and Conditioner

Jan 05 - Involved in a serious car crash in hospital a month, no finasteride, no nizoral nothing. Blood Transfusion needed don't know if this may have effected things.

March 05 - Started finasteride again and nizoral

April 05 - Stopped finasteride again ran out. Noticed an itch and pain on my scalp, felt bruised. Hair felt tingly and static. Stopped nizoral and T-Gel. Changed shampoo to Green Tea.

Tried the following

- Inflamal
- Tricomin Thearpy Spray with Dropper
- Emu Oil
- Jasons Thin to Thick
- Folligen

NO HELP WITH ANY!!

April/May 05 - Started finasteride again 1mg a day

June/July 05 - Still have a sore scalp, itch is bad (itching doesn't help), scalp feeling like its tingly, crawling and static. Feels weird at the hair follicles!!

My only option i can see is to shave my head and apply the following;

Tricomin or Folligen Lotion or Spray
Iamin Gel
Inflamal Plus

I ahve been to the derm and he couldn't see anything wrong with my scalp. He gave me a swab to take away to swab the spots. This is no use because the spots dont have any puss!!

Any ideas what this condition may be???

Thanks

Kevin,

I know your depserate but this getting like a broken record.

Shave your f*****g head and don't put anything on it for a week or so.

Then consider putting the other stuff on it.

Ok will do just think its down to something else!!

I know, it must be really sh*t for you but take things a step at a time.

Shave it off and give your head a comlete rest for a week.

If the inflammation and pain improves, don't do anything. If it's worse or no better at all put an anti-inflammatory on but I wouldn't go dumping loads of different sh*t on your head.

I was thinking that there is a slim chance it could actually be an infection - which an anti-biotic could clear up. You would need to see a Doctor or a derm to confirm that though.

At least with a shaven head they will be able to get a really good look at your problem.

Wear a hat.

Don't scratch it.

Go to a different derm.

Just wish i knew what it is. Im sure its making me lose more and more hair.

Would a blood transfusion effect it?
