Hey guys long time reader first time poster (always wanted to say that), I have a question Ive been on the big three minoxodil -(first rogaine then generic minoxidil 5%), propecia (2 years and a bit I think) and Nizoral (a few times a week) for like 2 and a bit years now. Ive also added over the years saw palmetto (gnc 500 mg), a general skin hair nail tablet and green tea extract pill form (all which have now almost finished and i think i will drop cause it hasnt had noticable effect). I have recently added (2 months ago- folligen, tricomin and spironolactone because the male pattern baldness hasnt stopped and has become more noticable.

My question is - what else can i take topically and orally to add to my regime? need help temples are thinned out?

thanking you in advance

Drop the saw palmetto unless you are using it for purposes besides your hair. It is worthless for hair. Spend that money on something more useful and that may actually help with hair loss. Something like Vitamin E.

Just clarifying - you're currently using finasteride, minoxidil, nizoral, folligen, tricomin and spironolactone?

That's pretty comprehensive already, adding to that is quite difficult :) I think if that's not stopping your hair loss perhaps there's something else that's causing your hair loss or making it worse. If I was you there's no way I could add more topicals to that, too much hassle!

About the only thing I can think of would be Dr Proctor's treatments or experimental things like Spectral DNC, scalpmed, etc, which i've never used.

NANO shampoo from http://www.drproctor.com or http://www.leg.org to rotate with nizoral is an easy addition.

Adding Retin-a, to make your minoxidil more effective. There's one study with a low concentration of minoxidil, which concluded minoxidil + retin-a once per day was roughly equivalent to minoxidil twice per day. You can get liquid retin-a very cheaply from http://www.minoxidil.com. Be careful however and don't use it more than a few times a week, to start off at least, since it can be very irritating to your scalp.

Prox-N applied to a wet scalp after your shower, or Proxiphen if you have the money. Either one would probably the best thing you could add, since proctor's products approach hair loss from a different angle to other treatments. They're expensive, but Dr P is useless at advertising or something, since every product of his i've bought (i've tried them all) has lasted at least 3 times longer than advertised. http://www.drproctor.com

Keep in mind everyone responds differently though.

Jayman -yeah Im just finishing off the saw palmetto its been pretty ineffective so too has the hair skin and nail pill.

Felk -yeah im using all of those topicals- its become the kitchen sink aproach. I began with big three which i think halted any further loss but after two years i havent noticed any significant regrowth. In the last 6 months the male pattern baldness started to increase at temples creating an island shape. After i added tricomin spironolactone and folligen it increased sheds although i think im beginning to see some (small) benefits. I think mabey stress could be adding to this haha,

Yeah I think retin A might be good it helps absorption into the skin correct?

What about internal supplements ? any major recommendations? Not really intrested in avodart

oh and is there any added benefit to increasing minoxdil from 5% to 15%.
will this increase results?

THanks

maybe, but it'll also make your hair more dependent on minoxidil. only do it if u really some more regrowth and thickening.

okay i think im already dependant haha I dont think i can be bothered with increasing minoxodil if it doesnt markably increase results-back to retin A - can you mix it into generic minoxidil and create one solution or do you keep the formulas separate?

oh an internals what are some good ones?
