i am 24 and just started noticing my hair thinning in the temporal reign, about 3-4 months ago. i have done some reading and it looks like this is the hardest area, if even possible to grow hair back in.

i am looking to start a regimen of some kind. though my reading i have found these product to be helpful to others.

biotin B-complex thickening shampoo
nizoral
rogaine
and progaine volumizing shampoo.

although it seems nizoral is hard to find these days in stores, i dont mind paying the 2x marked up price on amazon if this product will be helpful to me.

i was thinking of using the biotin as a regular daily shampoo, and using the nizoral 3-4 times a week. mixed in with a twice daily rogaine use.

any help would be greatly appreciated, i want to get to work on this problem before it becomes a big issue.

You really need to add something to block DHT, nizoral might do a little bit , but not much, check out the anti-androgen section.

hey thanks reading that forum now!!!! any suggestions on a good dht blocker??

im not sure if i would want to take a pill every day, plus the side effects.

so i guess revivogen or s5 cream, would be the way to go?

I'm using both spironolactone and revivogen together its a lot of hard work, much more hard work than taking a pill, i did take propecia for over 9 years, the sides finally got me (I recovered though).

I think if people go onto it knowing to be wary (but not convince themselves they've got sides) then it could be a good short term treatment.

Other topical dht blockers include RU84551 (which is trending at the minute) and Eucapil.

Others will be coming out soon, a lot of excitement is being generated around a compound called CB 03 01, but this is at the bleeding edge of treatments and near impossible to get hold of in the correct form.

You're welcome i have a really weird way of doing things because, bear in mind i have hair that's clipped at number 6.

Wake up slightly wash hair round crown from night before, using cold water (I'm in a rush in the mornings), once it's dry put on rev on crown and near the hair line, then some random patch.

Go to work come home from work, straight away slap on some spironolactone on the hairline and around the crown.

11pm I have my shower for the evening (sometimes i'll use alpecin double effect) then just a bit of spironolactone on the crown.

I have really fine hair so rev doesn't really feel greasy on it, i know a lot of people find it greasy so want to shower before going out after it's on (note it should be on for at least three hours).

cool thanks again!!! i just ordered a 4 month supply of rogaine foam, and revivogen. i decided against getting s5 for now, i don't want to use too many things at once. this way i will have a better idea of whats working and what isn't. if i find this formula works well, great! if i need a little supplant, i know what to add!!!
