After 10 months, side effects have forced me off Propecia. Mild acne scarring. See "Lopfraze's story":

http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions ... 614#205614

Anyway, I'm pretty down about it. And now I'm looking for a new regimen - a topical one.

My situation

What is my situation? I'm a diffuse thinner. My head is still covered with hair, but it is really thinning quite a lot now. I'm 24 and have been thinning for about 3 years now.

I am still using Nizoral and T-Gel shampoos. I am also taking multi-vitamins.

What I am looking for

So what am I looking for? A regimen that won't bring nasty side effects with it. Something that is practical and not too laborious.

I don't want to use dutasteride, and I'm not particularly keen on minoxidil either. I have head about antiandrogens. spironolactone? Revivogen? Would these things be good ideas? Any help/ ideas/advice would be much appreciated.

Peace out.

Well yes antiandrogens will help, you could look into either spironolactone or revivogen or maybe even both. HairLossTalk.com uses both and seems to be doing well. I would certainly recommend using one of them and maybe look into American crew revitalize spray or tricomin, something with copper peptides too provide your scalp with a healthy enviornment for the antiandrogens to do there job.
Hope that helps a little, goodluck and keep us updated

This topical called naturalis hair recovery is effective for most folks who have used it.

This is another alternative as no side effects have been reported to date.

never heard of it...doesn't sound solid to me...

try spironolactone and Revivogen first or Zix/superzix or Proxiphen
