Heavy shed experienced with minoxidil, should I start finasteride?

I tried checking the archives for this but the search feature doesn't work very well.

I'm a Norwood 2 and I am just about a month into my minoxidil treatment. I started because I was noticing some diffuse thinning mainly just past the hairline on top and a little in the crown. I have been experiencing a very heavy shed that started a couple of weeks ago. I want to limit the shedding as much as possible and am wondering if it would be smarter to start taking the finasteride now or to wait for my shed hair to grow back before starting.

PS - I am on nizoral too... not that that should have a bearing.

I typed in the word "shed" and............

"Search found 2345 matches" :wink:

Just type in shed and go by post titles, you should have a massive amount of information that way. But your question is impossible to answer since eveyrone reacts differently to everything.

Or you can just read this, it covers everything you could ever want to know about shedding. Yes it takes time to read but everything is covered top to bottom. It depends on how much you want to learn about the subject.
