My condolences to his family and friends may he rest in peace for eternity. He was a great actor and seemed to be a real down to earth guy. But to all you guys who post threads about balding celebrities, this death should put things into perspective for everyone. Ledger was losing his hair while alive, but do you think he is worrying about it now? Dead at the mere age of 28, it's unfortunate. Very unfortunate. Live your lives to the fullest and stop worrying about your hair loss and especially the hair loss of celebrities. At the end of the show none of it matters, live, love and dream.

Well I posted the original post on Ledgers Balding. I never said anything negative but more towards his fans for being harsh of his hairline. I loved his acting. Can't wait to see the Dark Knight Batman movie, where he plays the joker . Many are saying this role killed him because of the pressure of getting this role right and trying to better Jacks Joker. As a result he couldnt sleep and turned to sleeping pills. Which ultimately killed him.

Nahh its 100% his real hair. In some of his earlier roles like Roar (Pic below) you can his hair. He always had very spectacular thick curly blonde hair with brown eyes, which is quite rare, so it made him very popular with the ladies. Along with his deep voice.

The guy's not even cold in his grave and we're still all examining and analysing his harline. There's nothing sadder than balding internet users it seems.

No offence to the OP by the way, you obviously started this thread with good intentions.

Is that how he's gonna look all through the movie? What's with the messed up make-up? I kinda liked the comic book style of Jack Nicholson's Joker in Batman... not gonna like this one so much I guess. He looks very distracting but I guess that's the point.

Basically, the makeup is properly appied at the start of the film. The Joker never re-applies it so as he gets beaten about, sweaty etc. the make-up begins to peel away like in that picture.

It's supposed to look like a skin disease or something, with it getting progressively worse as the film goes on.

Beats the stupid "fell into a vat of chemicals" shtick anyway.

Wasn't his face totally burned in the acid? He had to get a surgery and all they could come up with was the stupid grin thingie :D.
