I am 23, male, Norwood 2-2.5. I'm considering starting finasteride (or possibly dutasteride) in a few months after I finish university.
At the moment I've been using nizoral 2% and minoxidil which appears to have slowed down loss (compared to my twin) even though I know minoxidil doesn't literally prevent loss.
The main thing I'm worried about with finasteride are the psychological side effects and so called 'brain fog'. The sexual sides don't bother me much since I'm not really sexually active in the first place. But my career (maths/programming) requires lots of problem solving, sometimes it can be quite intense so the last side effect I want is brain fog.
I am also thinking of dutasteride but with the apparently increased side effects profile of dutasteride I may just try finasteride first since my body always has respond quite strongly to any medications ive taken in the past (both the positives and the negatives).
Anyway I'm mainly wondering how common psychological sides & brain fog is with finasteride & dutasteride?
