Edit: Damn, I messed up the title... My bad

This question comes up a lot in this forum (obv), and it's sometimes really hard to determine whether or not someone has actually receded (or maybe even improved?) if it's just minor. However, it's always good to spot even minor recession because it might mean your regime is not strong enough and you might want to change some things. For example, switching from finasteride to dutasteride when you're still receding on finasteride.

So... why are so little people actually measuring their foreheads to keep track of their hair line? I know it sounds very BDD'ish, but this gives a very good and objective idea about whether your recession is progressing or not, right? Do little people do it because it kind of is that you're stressing about hair loss to the extreme? Do most people simply not care enough?

I think I'm going to start measuring the following distances:

midpoint of hair line - top of brows
left temple peak to end of brow
right temple peak to end of brow
Both ends of the V-shape (imagine your hair line as a V) to end of brow

Should be much more precise than any pics we ever make, no? It's so hard to get angles and lighting consistent, where as measuring is really easy and efficient imo.

Thoughts? Am I going batsh!t crazy here?
