HAS AVODART WORKED FOR ANYONE??????

I have been on avodart for 5 months now, and I've doubled the dosage to 1mg a day, and yet, my hair is thinning!!!! In one spot in the front imparticular...there is no hair now...

Enough of this b.s. about avodart causing shedding in the beginning, but to brave through it....

All I have read is a bunch of negative reactions and depressed people taking Avodart

IS THERE ANYONE THAT HAS A POSITIVE TESTIMONIAL ON AVODART???

If not, I will quit avodart immediately...I will lose less hair then this just doing propecia.

I have had a lot of succes with avodart. I began losing my hair in my twenties. That was 40 years ago. I was so upset that I got one of those terrible "doll hair" transplants when transplants were in their infancy. Subsequently, I received one of the more refined mini graft transplants 10 years ago. I also began taking propecia for my hair loss. Later I was able to get my doctor to prescribe proscar which helped with my prostrate problems as well as my hair loss without the expense since my insurance covered it. Upon doing research, I found that avodart was even more successful than fineseride in reducing hair loss, and my doctor prescibed it for my prostrate. It helped my prostrate, and it reduced my hair loss too. The results were dramatic. My hair loss practically came to a stop, and I regrew a lot of my hair. People constantly complimented me for my thick hair. Recently my insurance withdrew its approval of avodart for prostsrate problems due to the cost. I was off of it for a month while I contested the decision. For the last few weeks I have been taking proscar again. In the interim I have experienced a ton of shedding, and it appears that my hair has been thinning quite dramatically. . I have been told by my insurances that I can resubmit a request for avodart after trying proscar. I am hoping that I can use this again even if it is not for the specific purpose for which it was intended. If not I will attempt to purchase the medicine from a Canadian pharmacy.
