You will always shed hair your whole life, no matter if you are balding or not. Even the thickest NW0 full head of hair will shed up to 100 hairs daily on average.
That being said, if you are referring to the shedding that is caused from hairloss treatments in the early stages, I guess that I could give my own experience.
I have shed a massive amount of hair when I began finasteride, and it lasted for around 2 months. Past this mark my hair stabilized and I even started to recover from it, I am 3 months and a half in.
The reason for this is that the treatments for hairloss forces your dying hair follicles to reset from what I've heard. (I am no expert btw, don't take what I say for granted.)
