has anyone tried this? If the skull skin-pressure hypotheses is correct shouldn't topical insulin increase fat deposit in the skin and thus alleviate the compression that causes the follicle to miniaturize?

this may explain why once you start taking finasteride you start shedding. when you crash your type 1 dht levels, the compression pressure wins out and smothers the follicle. but you also stop the dht from further causing fibrosis, and thinning of the fat tissue, and even reverses some of this. With dermarolling you can do the former even better and create more elasticity of the dermis and stimulate more follicle growth factors.

another theory I have is that a diet of pure animal fat may be beneficial for our hair. Recently there's been talk that liquid plant derived oils shouldn't be our primary source of fat. when we assimilate it doesn't behave like animal fat would, it's more "liquid" and our fat tissue is more squishy and pliable. This squishiness is bad for resisting pressure and probably causes further follicle miniaturization.
