Has anyone stopped getting side effects from finasteride after taking it long term?

Trying to pinpoint if my generic finasteride is becoming ineffective or if I am just going through a seasonal shed. Have been on 1 mg finasteride for almost 8 months now. When I first started finasteride, I started to shed but had very little side effects from finasteride which included watery semen and some brain fog but hair was growing thicker. It just so happens that I am no longer getting the side effects from finasteride including an increase in libido and I am starting to notice some hair shedding. My hair looks thinner as it was before finasteride. Has anyone have a similar situation? Thinking about moving on to dutasteride but I really want to keep trying with finasteride until the one year mark in hopes that I can return to my former glory when I first started finasteride.

Keeping my hair was a consistent side effect all while maintaining a healthy prostate.

Some say it can actually be bad for the prostate. Hope they are wrong
