Hey guys.

Posted a few times and got no response.

Have had a wierd reaction to finasteride, and is my only side effect.

Eyes are sunken dark and hollow.

Anyone had this and recovered on cessation of the drug??

(please DO NOT comment if you have not experienced this, so many dickheads on this forum just spreading paranoia based on bro-science.)

Thanks a lot :) xxxx

Do drugs make you also feel tired?
To me that looks like a typical side effect of fatigue.

Yea man that's the glassy look you get from finasteride. It dries out your eyes and face. If you pull your eyelids down it'll be red inside.

How long u been on finasteride? Don't worry, it'll recover a week or two after you stop. Take some zinc and put some moisturizer under the eyes. This is one of the sides of finasteride that most people ignore. It's a lack of DHT in the skin that causes this. So you'll get this dull, lifeless looking face when on it.

Women tend to age quicker in their face because of the lack of Dht. Androgen's (specifically DHEA & DHT) increase collagen in the face. Inhibiting this with finasteride, will take the collagen away. Sucks

Cheers x

Source? I know that dry skin is doing no good when it comes to aging, but not everyone experiences dry skin from finasteride.

Genetics and countless environmental factors coupled with How your sleep has been the past couple weeks there are soooo many possibilities at play. I barely get 6-7 hours a night and have slight darker shade under my eyelids, I don't really care tbh and I'm on finasteride too.

I don't see actual swelling, I just see the 'blue' tint many people have..if its getting 'darker' it could be you are hitting around mid 20s? but every one is different.

Also I studied classical realism art and you realize its also normal to have some subtle shadows on face?
Your eyes are kind of deep set, not a bad thing you have nice eye(s) the deep set eyes cast more of a shadow then people who dont have deep set eyes.
this is my opinion at least I could be wrong.

Hello all.

Thanks for all the replies. Honestly I wouldn't be ruling out all the other factors if the timelines hadn't matched up sooo accurately!

I took 1mg a day for about 2.5 months stopped for 8 days then took 0.25 mg, it's been about 4 days since then.

They do seem to be getting slightly worse but heard it can take a while before you're totally back to normal.

I will wait a month and then post more pictures. Thank you for all the support, this forum is wicked.

I do get super tired on finasteride so maybe it is fatigue, but my energy levels are back to normal basically 2 days after I quit.

Just so thankful it didn't hit me with PFS. Really feel for those guys, must suck :(

Xxxx
