Hello guys.

Does anyone here style their hair with any of those? Few years ago (before hair loss) i used gel many times but now there are other stuff like wax or pomade that seem to be a better option.

In this forum two matte pastes have been suggested:
- night rider (Kevin Murphy)
- quicksand (Hanz de fuko)

Do these make the hair look fuller and thicker or are they just standard styling products.
The only thing that can make your hair fuller and ticker is hair fibers.
Pomades / waxes should only be used to govern rebel hair. They can make your hair look more healthy but thicker I don't think, unfortunately...

Definitely don't use pomade as that's what people use for slick back hair. I'd recommend a matt paste if you want a messy look.

Yeah, wax and gel is for people with good hair aka full heads or early receeders with full density.

those that have thin hair don't have the luxury of lathering and the hair taking on a healthy characteristic. it tends to lay flat and get all wired between other hairs. Hair products aside from mousse don't work with diffuse scalps.

Axe messy look is really my go to.. nice matte look with decent hold... they redesigned their bottles recently and it seems like they're solution is a lot more watered down and shittier... I went to a pharmacy that still had the old ones in stock and bought them out... I'll prob need an alternative once these 6 bottles are done. But I suggest this product for anyone with thinning hair.

Mate.... thinning hair does not work well with product, unless the mane is cut short.

people who have thinning hair know this. to much space between hair, wind blows the hair away, and it doesn't over lap like naturally healthy hair. When you add gunk to your hair it gets flat, stringy and looks like sh*t.

Mousse after a shower, and a blow drying is the closest you can get to adding product, and having a decent result. it will thicken the hair a bit, and the blow dry will take on a natural direction, and look. hair spray to finish (optional)

if you go realy short like crew cut length - #2 guard then you can get away with gel, wax, and creams

Damn and I have been using wax. It's really a wax that creates a matte look and doesn't weight the hair down though.

I love it when my hairdresser styles me hair. He also dries it blow and it really gives volume. Too bad I have 2 left hands and can never do it as well as he does.

What product do you use Shook?

How can you use wax on diffuse thinning areas without using tons of hairspray? People with a comb over can feel what i mean :D
I ve been using axe cream-gel for years now (was Apollo ,now it has a new name). With a bit of it you can rub it so it gets more dry and more wax like, if you use more you can get more of a messy look . Together with blasting freeze spray from got2b i can at least get a decent hair style ,even with nw3+

That's the new formulation that doesn't go too good with thinning hair. Their original bottle has a lot more of a dry matte formula

The one I use looks like this...
I still have the original, got it 4 years ago.

I will post a photo later on tonight.

Thanks Wolf Pack. Do you think it would be fine to use it in a curly type of hair? Also, i've read that what happens with some brands is that the product start to melt in the hair under the sun, but i guess it's not the case.
