I have always been a supporter of this site, and seeing the new ad bar doesnt change this. HairLossTalk.com's gotta make his bucks somehow. So no complaints.
It does seem, however, that there is a certain irony involved with some of them. Mostly I'm seeing ads for cheap Propecia, and Avodart, along with ads for Lasercomb and Toppik. This makes sense! However, there are ads for certain products that would get slammed if brought up in these forums!
The "Save On Saw Palmetto" ad is paticularly amusing, sitting right above the sticky 'Facts on Saw Palmetto' thread that HairLossTalk.com himself posted, going into detail on how Saw Palmetto is not reccomended as a treatment.
Theres also a "Finasteride Replacement" ad, that trys to convince you that their product, "Alopesan 400", is a better then Finasteride because it blocks both types of 5ar enzymes. And its natrual! What is the magic ingredient in Alopesan 400? Thats right, Saw Palmetto.
Then theres a "Better then Saw Palmetto" ad, which, if you follow it, describes how Beta Prostateâ„¢ has fewer side effects, and is more powerful prostate cure (but aparently has no effects on hairloss).
Theres also an ad for the infamous Hair Club, and Bosley Medical, two institutions with their share of stories of shadey salesmen and missinformation. The Hair Club site has a guide of products that do and dont work. What do they say doesnt work? They dont name any product, they just say that most dont. Well thats true, but what DOES work? According to them, why, their Hair Therapy shampoos and topicals! Oh, and Biomatrix! (How could Biomatrix not work? Its a hairpiece!) Sheisters.
So Surfer Beware! Ads powered by Google are not nessisarly endorsed by HairLossTalk.com.com!
Right?
