Did anyone see this on tv in the uk? I thought i'd bring it up seen as its an issue very rarelly discussed on british television. Three guys were up and wanted something done about there hairloss. The first guy was only 19 with a norwood 3 hairline. He was having trouble managing his hair and got stylist to cut it to an acceptable look. The second guy 34 was a norwood 4 and used nanogen hair fibres to conceal his bald patch. Third guy was 70 with a norwood 7 and got a human hair peice which looked great.

They are now looking for participants to try out products that regrow hair on national tv. Should be interesting.

Its about time the media paid attention to our insecurities which have been so badly neglected in the past.

I saw this myself. :punk:

I was actually really impressed with the haircut the 19 year old guy got. I thought it looked really good. As 21 myself with a similar receding hairline it at least proves I have some options and don't need to resort to the buzz just yet. It's just the matter of finding a good stylist.

I thought Ben Shepard throughout the whole segment was a total :jackit: To be expected from someone though doesn't know what it's like to be balding. Holly on the otherhand was really cool and she didn't seem to mind her own husbands receding hairline.

I too thought it was a great idea what they done in regards to managing hairloss. It clearly highlights options available for people of varying stages of hairloss. I cant wait to see the results of the hair growing products trial they are planning to air on tv in the near future. Hopefully we will see some decent products that grow hair outside the big 3.

I wish i could get a clip of that episode on the board it would be of great use and interest to people on this forum.

Hopefully we will see some decent products that grow hair outside the big 3.

the only other thing ive ever seen that can regrow 'some' hair is clinical lasers, and even then the results are limited.

so i dont know wat products they will use. between us all on this and other forums we know pretty much all the options.

usually on these types of programs, someone uses a laser comb which does nothing cos its too few lasers, someone tries minoxidil with limited results, and someone tries some scamish topical, and the conclusion is either transplants or go bald.

so i dont know wat ur expecting.

You might have a point however if there is anything new out that may work. I dont think they would have there products go on live tv if it is a scam. Perhaps its a loose end but there's that small part of me that hoping there still something out there i could use for my hairloss outside the big 3. For instance we all believe histogen is going to be a big fail like many other companies in the past but that doesnt stop us looking into it to see if were wrong.

My speakers are down at the moment so I couldn't hear what they were saying, but that wig looked awful. I'm assuming it wasn't glued down to his head? It was too thick and looked like a Tony Bennett esque squirrel taped.
I'm not against hair systems/wigs etc but surely he should have given him a less dense piece.

Nanogen is a good concealer, but like people have said, it's a stop-gap solution to hairloss.

The NW3 young lad's haircut looked good. It just shows you if you are a NW3 that there are options out there. If anything to be picky, I'd have cut his hair at the sides even shorter - buzzed it down a little more and it would look even better, IMO.

Shows like this are ideal for making the balding even tougher and balding people even more insecure IMO. They doesn't present being bald as an option whatsoever and that's bullshit.
