Hairloss behind the ears

Does anyone else have this problem? I've looked on the internet and one of the possible cause's mentioned was DUPA meaning you can bald any anywhere on the scalp back and sides included. I hope i dont have this because that means no hair transplant in the near future. Im wondering if there's anything else that can cause this bizzare development.

I have it, in both sides
Pretty weird, a zone of scarce hair density that cuts diagonally from the temples to behind the ears

My opinion? Plain male pattern baldness. I expect that zone to be completely in a few years, I've seen it in other people
