Proxiphen may or may not help

Try spironolactone cream then apply minoxidil 5% - 15% few minutes later

This is the hardest area to stimulate. http://WWW.minoxidil.com
Dr Lees recommends this.

I got fed up and got grafts into my Norwood 2 temples last summer and am using Dr Lee regimen. I am 3 months post op today and they are growing like crazy.

LG,

1500 grafts in the temples and you were only a NW2? You must have like full density up there? are you a full NW1 now?

did you have any crown thinning or anything? post some pics?

thanks.

No crown issue Jayman...thank GOd! The finasteride/minoxidil over the yrs had to have helped.

I have an irregular hairline. I was born that way. It's called COngenital Temporal recession. MY right side is deeper than my left. Dr Cole evened them up. I am 3 months today. I will try to post some pics. The growth is coming in every week. It's so freaking exciting. I just hope I get close to 100% yield.

Norwood 1...not really. I think the Norwood system is flawed but I will let people be the judge in 9 months.

Hey do you like the minoxidil 5 % w/ retin A?

I used the 2% minoxidil with Retin A for yrs but got used to it.

Why not the Xandrox 5% with azelaic acid?

How did you get that protocol? Dr Lee?

I actually just started using the minoxidil w/ retin-A last night. Yes, I do like it and definitely recommend it to anyone using the two treatments - it's much less greasy and faster drying than regular minoxidil and saves time/hassle by incorporating the two treatments together.

IMO, the retin-a greatly enhances the minoxidil. Sorry to hear that you got used to it? Maybe try cycling it or something?

I've used the xandrox before but don't think it has any advantage whatsoever over the others. This is where the good dr. lee and many of us here disagree. Despite his claims about the azealic acid's ability to inhibit virtually all dht, the majority here think that it is pretty much worthless. So, 5% with added greasiness? No thank you!

That protocol for the minoxidil and 5% spironolactone did come from dr. lee and that is the protocol that we have found to be best. With the new foam, however, you only have to wait about 5 minutes.

Interesting. I might change over to the retinA and 5% minoxidil from Dr Lee and add spironolactone cream. I will still use the 15% xandrox at night b/c I dont care about the greasiness at that time. Its the xandrox in the daytime I am not happy with. its oily and hard to apply. feels like i just put maple syrup in my hair. yuck!

Hey LookingGood! i got a question do you think xandrox 15% is any better than simple 5% minixodal ? I mean is there any major increase over just using 5% minixodil

That's a good question. I only started 2 weeks ago. I will let you know in 6 months. It's definitely a stronger concentration. I can tell you this my hair transplant hair which is 3month this week is growing very well and the minoxidil may be helping it. I was on 2% with Retin A for a long time and it help things together but I may have accommodated to it. I truly believe minoxidil is dose dependent over time.
I will let you know. Stay in touch b/c I am as curious as you.

IMO from using the xandrox 15, and (regular minoxidil prior) it wasn't really that great. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't throw it in the trash or anything - it's still high-strength minoxidil. It's just that it was so impracticle b/c of it's greasiness (even at night).

The 15% coincentration might be marginally better than 5% but the azaelic acid is of no additional benefit. So, you end up with pretty much the same stuff, except sticky/greasy texture. With the debut of the new foam and the already existing non-greasy products from Dr. Lee, it really should be considered obselete by now.

That's my 2 cents...

Intresting, see im my case ive been using big three for 2 and a bit years now- Ive noticed V shaped baldness increasing so i added spironolactone, tricomin and folligen to the mix. Im considering adding retin a and xandrox 15% but only if it will increase my results.

If you are still only expriencing the frontal recession, I think the retin-a, tricomin, and spironolactone would be a powerfull additon for the hairline/temples my friend. I really would skip the X-15 if I were you.

I think i will go with non greasy minoxidil 5% with retinA and top spironolactone added at night. I might do the 15 % without the azelaic aci. Its so f'in greasy and it doesnt contain PG that's what kills me@!
