So I'm in the process of getting a hair transplant. I just wanna know, if a cure for hairloss arrived 5 years from now but I've already had my hair transplant, will the transplanted hair block follicles where the new hair wants to grow out of??

Honestly, just do what you think is right today. Who knows what could happen in 5 years. Given the state of things, I suspect 5 years from today will probably look not too different from today with regards to hair loss treatments.

Well given that grafts placed too close to native hair can cause shock loss to to competition for blood supply, I imagine that theoretically, it could prevent native hair from regrowing, but as others have said, we're far, far, far away from being able to reactivate dormant or "dead" follicles, so don't base your decision on this factor.
