As I was showering and doing my daily "count" of how many hair I lost, I notice that some hairs seem to thin at the end. These are the same hairs that have the little white bulbs (aka the hairs that have been in a telogen phase for a while, thus losing pigmentation). My question is that I thought the thining caused by male pattern baldness occurs on subsequent hair cycles, meaning the thinning should occur on the next hair cycle for the lost hair and not while it was still growing. Am I getting the biology of it wrong?
