Hair Thinning Or Just Whorl, Dry Hair 21 Y/o

Hair in the back has been beginning to feel more dry and I cant tell if the whorl on my head is getting bigger. im going to wait a while to see if anything changes, but I want someone else's opinion on it


also, my blood tests from a few months ago showed that my thyroid levels just barely made the cutoff. so will lack of thyroid hormones be causing my hair to go dry and does something like that cause baldness?

Honestly, it looks a little big for a whorl. The general condition of the hair looks like there's some mild thinning as well.

It could be related to your thyroid. Discuss your hair thinning with your GP/ dermatologist

Comb your hair...Take a wet comb and comb forward all the hair from top of your head and comb downward all the hair on the back of your head. That will clear up that messy hair and help us evaluate better

i do need to get another blood test for other reasons besides thyroid, but im hoping that it's just a large whorl lol

Maybe,but a cowlick would still be identifiable as all the hairs would be emanating from it into different directions. A bald spot would appear totally barren.
