hi guys, recently noticed my scalp shows through on my crown, several people have told me it's nothing to worry about as "it's just the way my hair falls as its long" or "my scalp is really pale so shows through" but these people are either close family members or just a local doctor who doesn't specialise in this. The last photo is with the light directly above me. I've always been told I have good hair by my hairdresser and I can't help but feel this may be stress induced as the last three months I've started a new job and argued with my girlfriend a lot. Thanks for any help

There is only one way to be 100% sure at your current stage: get a folliscope test done. Essentially, the dermatologist will use a camera that looks at the hair at a microscopic level, and then the software attached to the computer measure the hair widths/diameters.
The almost certain diagnosis of male patterned baldness is if your hairs have varying widths/diameters. While it may be expensive to find a doctor who has this equipment (most derms don't have one off hand, for my own diagnosis I ended up spending $800 to see Dr. Shapiro in NYC out of pocket...), it will give you the guaranteed guidance of what you need to do next.
