Personally, I would say a messy type hair style is good for guys with thinning hair. Using light hair styling products are good, some could even help add volume, but remember to go easy on them.... hence the phrase "less is more." What I actually did was go to a salon to get a haircut and told the guy, "do what you think is the best for me," I didn't give him any direction. He did the greatest job in giving me a new hair cut and style. Taught me the best way to style my hair and what products work good.

o yeh n i try 2 stay away from the gel. if ur hair's straight(ish) just mess around with it with ur hands, but try n make it go back n not forward otherwise it looks geeky.

short to medium length brushed forward like a caesar style... this is what i do.. also some subtle highlifting offsets the thinness

I have been thinking about doing that since I have heard this before. Do you have any pics?

I'm more partial to the longer look myself. I've been growing my hair for the last 8 months and it's currently quite long and I much prefer it to the crop. It's that kinda 'Leo Di Caprio' style (Sorry, its the only person I can think of with this style!). Ye know, a sorta graduation thing with those long bangs coming down over my eyes. I'm a N2 myself not only does this style disguise my receding hairline but it looks great too!

Jude: I completely agree. I have my hair grown out longer too and since it's curly it's able to disguise a few of my thinning areas.

We had this big event at school last week and as a joke one of my teachers came to school with slicked back hair. Before then I had always considered him to be one of the lucky guys who had avoided hairloss. His slicked back hair clearly showed that he was definetly at least a Norwood 2 probably a Norwood 2.5. Because he kept his hair on the long side noboby would have ever known if it wasn't for the stunt he pulled that day. Rocking the longer hair style can definetly help disguise thinning.
