Hi All,

I've had my first consultation and the guy suggested I should go for hair replacement system. Just started looking into it and I have a few questions;

Does it take long to get used to the system?

Shall I tell my colleagues, friends and family so they can prepare for the shock or let them discover?

How long does the system last for?

Do I have to go back to the salon every so often for care of the system?

How bald are you? If you still have some hair left on top, you might want to try medical treatments like Rogaine and Finasteride to help preserve what you have left and see if you are a candidate for a hair transplant. It have heard it takes a few weeks to get used to systems and that they can last for several months if you take good care of them. You will need to either go to a salon to care for it or learn to do maintenance yourself. I would suggest being open with your family and friends about the decision, but if you would rather be discrete, it is really none of their business and good quality systems are most undetectable and can look good. They have to be replaced every few months to a year though and good ones cost several hundred dollars each and the cost can add up over time and become more than a hair transplant, which is a more permanent solution to hair loss.
