Where in the Norwood scale would I be? Also I have been only using topicals (mainly minoxidil, revivogen, added keto, tricomin and spironolactone recently) for the past two and a half months (shedding has decreased but very little regrowth) ; should I take the leap and start using finasteride too or should I wait a couple more months for results.
all the stuff you're using is good but except for spironolactone, it's no defense against balding. good growth stimulants in that list like minoxidil and tricomin but you need to add a 5alpha reductase inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride to stop the balding process.
I never said spironolactone wasn't good for hair loss. It is pretty good. I think you misunderstood what I said- read it again and emphasize the but word in my sentence. I was saying that everything being used in this regimen is good but except for the spironolactone, none of the rest actually stop the balding process.
jayman's grammar is pretty bad, in that sentence, if he meant what he said he meant.
anyway, revivogen and spironolactone both slow the balding process. tricomin might help reverse fibrosis, and minoxidil just stimulates hair growth without repairing much or stopping the process.
you got some real thinning, but you have more hair than I had in front before my grafts. See that spot in the center about 2-3 inches back, the thin area before it gets thin again? That is what I'm trying to regrow with my regimen. I'd also like to fill in my hair line, but I doubt that will happen, since it was hairless for 7 years. You youngen's are lucky with all the meds available now for cheap.
