Hair Loss Survey - let's do one

Hello chaps,

I was just sitting back, reading posts as you do, when a thought occurred to me: rather than just talking back and forth about what treatments people are trying and the success or failure they're having, why don't we do something a bit more, well, scientific.

It'd be great to find out what hair loss people are experiencing here, what treatments they're on, and how they're responding to those treatments. It'd mean we could see - from this limited demographic at least - what works for us.

This could be done either through the board simply asking questions, or using a third party website.

What do you all think? Of course, if this has been done before, by all means take my suggestion, crumple it up into a ball, and cast it into the dustbin. But if it hasn't, let's go for it.

Discuss!

hmm it would be hard to keep a truly scientific evaluation of treatments because a) people have more then 1 product soo it would be hard to conclude what is working and what isn't
b) people's reaction to a product might be different
c)there are anomalies such as once i thought i lost my crown but then found out it was just Telogen Effluvium

Well yes. The response has also been quite subdued, so I'm thinking we'll probably put it to one side.

Not too mention the dreaded placebo effect which would make peoples own evaluations possibly wrong or exagerated. This would be misleading to other users. Now if this could be done with pictures using only the one product then your theory might hold some water to it.

I've been on nizoral and min foam for 2 months and my hair seems to have improved considerably, so much that I am thinking of growing out my hair.

I also use saw palmetto but not sure if that counts as a treatment...
