Hey guys like I said I was on Synthroid which caused diffuse hair loss on the top for about 5 years. the hair loss stopped completely thankfully and at first I thought it was just genetic but my 23andme report said there is a 92% chance I wouldn't bald before 40.
This means it was mostly likely my hypothyroidism. The fact that the thinning has completely stopped and my hair looks the same in the past couple of years supports this hypothesis. My question now is, is there hope of regrowth now that I've started minoxidil and s5 cream, or do these therapies only help with DHT related hair loss? Anything else you guys recommend for me to get back to normal?
I was severely b12 and vitamin D deficient as well but recent lab shows im back to normal. I know this will take a while but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience and what their outcome was. I'm considering FUE but i'd like to keep it a last resort.
My hairline looks like Norwood V A but not nearly as thin on top. Here is a picture
