Hello everyone, I just discovered this forum about an hour ago, and decided to post. I am 34 years old, and just last month I started to notice hair loss right above my forhead. Not my hairline, but right above it. When my hair grows, it starts to part in the middle, and you can see the scalp "just a little" because of the parting, And thats normal, but now I can see more scalp, and now I am worried. It just seems that it has happened too fast. I'd like to blame it on my nerves, I have been worried about many things in the past 2 months, for example, I spent 9 days in the hospital, and I have a hell of a hospital bill, I have no insurance right now, and along with that I have a seperate doctors bill, 2 other bills, And I've been frustrated because I am unemployed right now. then I also want to blame my stay at the hospital for my hairloss, you see, my hair was fine went I went in, but when I checked out, I noticed that my hair took longer to grow, I didnt even need to shave as often, could it have been all those IV's in me feeding me all those antibiotics? I know for a fact that the antibiotics did affect me in one way, I had a mild form of psoriasis on my knees for about 2 years, and when I checked out, it was totally gone. So you see, I have been stressed out for a while now. could this stress be the reason? could it have been all the medications, or could it just be nature doing its thing? I don't know what to do, all I can think about now is doing the "Buzz" cut. I'm worried and confused.

Yes all those things you stated can have a temporary impact on your hair. How is the history of hairloss in your family?

If your hairloss is simply related to illness, stress, etc., then it should come back in time. You could use rogaine 2 or 5% to speed along the regrowth once the stresses and illnesses are removed.

If your hairloss is due to the early stages of male pattern baldness, then you should look into propecia (finasteride) and Nizoral shampoo as well.

Well, on my dad has lost alot, he's got a "Phil Collins" look going on, and his dad, my grandfather was the same, but on my Mom's side, my grandfather has a full head of hair, so this might be coming from my dad.
I also wanna thank you for those tips, I will look into it. for now, I think I'm going to get a very short haircut.lol
