Hair Loss Due To Doxycycline At A Young Age

i was prescribed doxycycline 100 mg once a day for mild acne ,while it cleared my face almost completely,
after 3 weeks of taking the anti - biotic my sister noticed and told me i had a thinning around the crown.


has any of you had similar experiences?
will the hair go back to normal?
im 18 year old.
*the thinning did not exist before
could it be male pattern baldness?

hi there,

i actually took doxycycline for about 6 weeks two years ago, this was around the time i noticed slight temple recession. needless to say i came off it once my infection was cured and my hair has only got worse over the last 2 years. many have advocated that it has helped with their hair loss, i would also be interested in hearing more on this........don't believe it's a factor in male pattern baldness though tbh
