Hey Everyone,
I am a 25 year old male who used to have thick hair all over body just 4 months ago. But around 3 months ago, my engagement fell apart and I went into a severe depression. To make matters worst, I started thinning all over my body. That increased my level of anxiety because my thick hair was a big part of my personality. I used to explicitly tell barbers not to use thinning scissors and had to get a hair cut every month (uptill 4 months ago).
Anyways, I went to a General Physician, she told me that depression causes a decrease in testosterone which results in hair fall. I started taking biotin, started meditating and exercising in the morning. At first I went through a period where small thin hair appeared on my forehead (where there weren't any before). That was 3 weeks ago but that hair has remained the same length. I am still loosing about 15 strands when I shower and a couple of strands when I pull on my hair but hair loss has decreased a bit. On my chest and on my arms, I can see hair returning.
What sucks is the hair thinning has caused the shape of my head to completely change. Frustrated by the slow pace of growth, I started using Rogaine yesterday. Should I keep using Rogaine or should I stop and have patience that my hair will grow back naturally. Btw, my grandfathers and my dad both have head full of hair even after crossing their 50s. My grandfathers have more hair than me
