When you first beginto use minoxidil, your hair loss may increase temporarily ofup to 2 weeks. However, if it continuesafter two weeks, see your physician.

shedding is considered normal for the first few weeks or months when you use minoxidil. I had two major sheds (not sure if they were from finasteride or minoxidil) in the first year and it was mentally exhausting and very depressing. Do not give up yet, mate and good luck!

I remember my doctor telling me that minoxidil can cause a shed within the first two weeks of using it.

Shedding is normal and a sign that treatment is working! Don't panic. It will take a few months but slowly your hair will come back even better and you may even get some new growth.

May be cut your hair shorter for a while.
